For those of you who do not have access to the podcast, we will STILL be posting what's going on in the blog. Don't you worry. That's our mission. To get the news out to YOU, the people. Of course some things will only be available through the podcast, but you will get your daily serving of super-cool news happenings nonetheless.

What's so great about it?
The podcast may, will, and does cover some topics that the blog fails to, thanks to our wonderful hostess Amanda. So if you aren't too interested with what's here on the site, you can still listen for some podcast-exclusive topics.

Remember to tell your podcast-friendly friends, or if you have a podcast, maybe we could link each other or advertise each other's show. As you know, we care, and we'd love to share great podcasts with our listeners.

Also remember that we are desperate for story/article contributors and even readers, please see how you can help us!

We Need You!

As we've established before, we care about you and your best interests. But who exactly are we? We are a very small staff of writers who enjoy bringing information to those who want or need it. We are also a family, so to speak, and like many families we are always interested in new additions. We at Distortion Quality News agree with the saying "the more the merrier" and invite you to be merry with us, sort of like some unifying holiday at wintertime, but jollier!

It's easy to join our family of writers, all you need to do is send us an article to be posted here on our blog. Here are some topics that we're looking for. If you want to submit an article, it does NOT have to be based on one of these topics. These are merely general ideas:

Current Events -- tell us what's going on in your world that is either interesting, funny, or important for The People to know
Literature -- tell us about a good book you've read. Tell us about a downright horrible one. Write us a little poem. As long as it's something our Book Nerds here at DQN will enjoy, feel free to send an article on it!
Music -- who's your favorite band? Did you like their new CD? Do you have any fun stories about the last time you were at a concert of theirs? We're losers and don't get out much - so let us know about it!
Video -- Tell us about movies or television shows. Was that Arnold Schwarzenegger movie good, or is he just better off keeping his day job as governor? Our readers need to know -- so tell us!
Technology -- Are you a geek and proud of it? Tell us about that new pocket PC, because we're to stupid to figure it out ourselves.
We're also fond of any interesting life stories you may have, so if your grandfather won't shut up about how he lost his leg in the war, tell us!

BUT WAIT! THERE'S AN EASIER WAY TO CONTRIBUTE! Send us an e-mail (blog.distortion@hotmail.com) asking us an advice question. We really do enjoy helping others out; remember, we're the ones who care about you. So if your husband is having an affair or if you don't know what to do about your poodle who leaves presents in your purse, just ask us. We have all the answers you need.

WHEN SENDING AN ARTICLE please put the word "Article" promintently in the subject line so we know right then that that's what your e-mail is for. Also put in the e-mail a headline and your name so we can give credit. If you do not put your name then the article will show up on the blog as being "contributed by a fabulous reader." If this happens to you, e-mail us back with your name using the same adress you sent the article in with and we'll make the changes to make sure you get the credit you deserve.

If you plan on being a regular please tell us what topic most (if not all) of your articles will be about so we can properly add you to our Staff list. Even if you are a regular, we will not put pressure on writing articles for us, just send them whenever you want. If you do not give us a topic when you decide to be a regular contributor then we will list you as "Misc" and therefore keeping all categories open for you.

Not only do we care about our readers, but we'd love it for our staff to be made up by our readers too -- so send in some articles so we can make this the best blog ever.

IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO SUBMIT then you can at least tell all of your friends who may be interested.
